MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Jose has been wavering between tropical storm and hurricane south of Bermuda in the western Atlantic Ocean. It is forecast to begin a more northerly track, off the mid-Atlantic coast, creating higher surf for most of the east coast. A small chance for land impacts in the northeastern U.S. shores exists this weekend.
Two other systems are in place in the Cape Verde region of the eastern Atlantic, both with increasing chances for further development as they move generally west. They are far from any Caribbean islands or the U.S. mainland.
