MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- No tropical systems will threaten the Gulf region in the foreseeable future.
There is one disturbance several hundred miles east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles that has a high chance to transition into a subtropical or tropical depression or storm over the next couple of days. The long-range outlook shows this system remaining over open waters of the Atlantic, with a north-to-west path of movement before shifting to the northeast early next week.
The next name on the Atlantic basin list is Oscar.
