Details on Tropical Depression Gabrielle can be found through this link.
Elsewhere in the tropical Atlantic basin ...
A wave of disturbed conditions lurks in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico with a limited opportunity for further strengthening as it moves west toward the Mexican east coast and the Rio Grande Valley. It will provide no major hazards to the Big Bend region.
Another tropical wave is in the middle of the eastern Atlantic between the Cape Verde region and the Lesser Antilles. There's not much chance for this system to obtain tropical organization because of existing dry air.
The final point of interest is a flare-up of cloudiness and storms just to the northeast of where Gabrielle is located. Upper-level winds are strong near this system, creating a less-than-favorable environment for intensification in the near-term outlook.
