MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Two disturbances are swirling in the tropical Atlantic. One of which is newly formed Tropical Depression Six. Currently the depression is situated far off in the eastern Atlantic west of the Cape Verde Islands and it will likely strengthen into Tropical Storm Edouard. Another disturbance will affect our weather regardless of tropical development and that is because it is a lot closer to home. It is moving west into Florida and will enter the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. As of now, it will help enhance the rain action over the Big Bend but it is given a 30% chance of developing within the next few days. We will keep our eyes on both systems as they progress in the Atlantic.
