MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Occasional showers and rain, along with a few thunderstorms, will ride from southwest to northeast through most of the area this evening and even early Friday morning.  At times, especially through mid-evening, thunderstorms may briefly build to strong levels, producing gusty wind trends and frequent lightning.  In isolated cases, the thunderstorms can be severe.  Passing showers are likely through most of Friday as well, with embedded thunderstorms in the mix.  Lows tonight will be in the mid 70s, and highs mainly in the 80s to near 90° for areas with more sunshine.  The corridor of moisture and unsettledness will drift east on Saturday, focusing the rain chances into the Suwannee Valley.  A slight amount of drier conditions will enter Sunday, but only enough to reduce rain chances a notch through Labor Day.
