MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

The mix of afternoon heat and the seabreeze is helping to pop some late-day showers and storms, most of which will move to the northeast or east, dumping some heavy rain in localized spots.  Severe weather chances are low, and all rain should conclude by midnight. Lows will reach the low 70s. Friday will feature a near-repeat performance of today, with steady warming under sunshine in the morning, then partly cloudy by afternoon with scattered rain and thunder by mid-afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 90s. The weekend appears hot with highs near 90° at the coast and mid 90s inland. More storms are possible Saturday afternoon, with the greatest chance for heavy rain and severe weather coming Sunday as a cold front approaches.  Monday and Tuesday will be much drier and seasonably warm.
