MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The former Hurricane Kate is now a post-tropical low-pressure storm system in the northern latitudes of the Atlantic, heavily influenced by strong upper winds and a colder environment. It is no longer being tracked as a tropical cyclone.
A cluster of clouds and moisture in the far western Caribbean remains disorganized, and near-term chances for development are near zero. Fast upper winds elsewhere in the southern edges of the north Atlantic will prohibit any tropical disturbance formation through the weekend.
