MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Following the long-lasting tropical system named Joaquin, which has degenerated into an extratropical cyclone in the northeastern Atlantic, conditions in general across the tropical Atlantic basin have settled down considerably. Points of moisture are located over the Lesser Antilles, southwest of the Cape Verde region, and south of Bermuda. Each of these features will encounter conditions that will not favor immediate development or intensification. Therefore, there shouldn't be any significant tropical cyclone formation within the next couple of days.
