TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Tropical storm Danny has sustained winds of 50mph and is still moving on a westward path 15 mph. Dry air will continue to have a weakening effect on Danny over the next few days. Models have shifted the track a little south and as Danny continues to weaken it could move further south of this track.
There is a tropical wave about 800 miles away from Cape Verde that has a 80% chance of cyclonic formation over the next few days. It is moving quickly westward at 20 mph and by late this week conditions seem unfavorable for further development.
One last tropical wave near the coast of Africa has a 20% chance of forming over the next 5 days. We will keep an eye on this and all the other systems throughout the week and updates will be frequent.
