MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropical wave in the Gulf continues to move north toward our region. The heavy rain threat remains a large possibility for North Florida and South Georgia for the beginning of the work week. For more info on that, click here. The system has a 30% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next two days.
Meanwhile an area of low pressure north of the Caribbean has a 60% chance of organizing into a tropical cyclone within the next two days. It will continue to push to the northwest into Monday. No immediate threat to the U.S.
And lastly, Ida is now longer a tropical system. It is deemed post-tropical and the National Hurricane Center will no longer issue advisories on the system.
