TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- There is still only one area of disturbed weather in the tropics.
This disturbance is about 350 miles east of the Leeward Islands. There has been very little organization with this system over the last day. Environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for development each day. This area of interest will continue to move toward the west northwest and near Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and the southern Bahamas by midweek. At this time, there is a 70% chance of formation in the next five days, but models are indicating that this will remain away from the United States coastline.
