TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- At this time, there is only one area of interest in the tropics that we are watching.
An area of low pressure sits about 700 miles southwest of the Azores. This disturbance has showers and thunderstorms that are showing signs of some organization. Environmental conditions are expected to remain favorable for some development as it slowly moves northeastward. At this time, there is a 50% chance of development in the next five days.
