TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- One area of disturbed weather is sitting in the central Atlantic Ocean, about 500 miles south of Cape Race, Newfoundland.
This non-tropical low pressure system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. As this disturbance continues meandering over the central Atlantic Ocean, it could acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics. At this time, the National Hurricane Center has given this a 30% chance of formation in the next five days.
At this time, the rest of the Atlantic Basin is not showing signed of tropical disturbances.
