MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Good news for the east coast of the United States. Cristobal is forecast to not have any direct impacts on the U.S. However, high surf is still possible with the storm. It remains a weak tropical storm with winds sustained at 45 mph. Elsewhere across the Atlantic, there is a tropical wave that is disorganized but has a small chance of developing into a depression as it nears the Lesser Antilles. Big news out of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, where a monstrous Category 5 Hurricane Marie is churning a few hundred miles off of Mexico! The storm is thankfully not forecast to go anywhere near land as it moves to the northwest and dies off in the cold waters of the northeast Pacific Ocean.
