MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- It's near that time of year again. Less than a month away from the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season and we're monitoring the possibility of a subtropical disturbance forming off the coast of Florida.
While still too far out to tell what the disturbance will do, the National Hurricane Center is giving the system a low (30% chance) of developing into a subtropical storm within the next 5 days. While this chance is low and this system isn't expected to intensify into much right now, it will be interesting to monitor the progress of the developing low as its distance to our area will play an important role in the forecast for the latter part of the week.
