MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A new tropical wave has emerged off the coast of Africa and it is being monitored for potential development. Development will likely be slow as it is not expected to strengthen much over the next 48 hours. Nonetheless, it has a greater chance of developing later on afterwards and it will continue to be watched. As for the Pacific, Hurricane Julio is weakening as it travels away from the Hawaiian islands and will continue to weaken as it encounters colder waters across the central Pacific.
