MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Tropical cyclone development over the Atlantic Basin does not appear likely over the next couple of days. However, an area of disturbed weather over the Gulf of Mexico in the form of a weak trough had some potential earlier during the weekend. As of now, it does not look likely to develop, but we'll keep a close eye on the region for any updates.
The open Atlantic is also quiet for now with no development likely for the next 5 days.
