Julia is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves across Nicaragua towards the Pacific Ocean on Sunday night. Tropical Storm Julia is moving west at 15 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds at 70 miles per hour. Heavy rain, life-threatening flash-flooding, and mudslides are expected across parts of Central America through Monday.
There are no other tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Ocean and therefore, no tropical threats are anticipated in the United States over the next week.
