TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Subtropical Storm Alberto continues to press closer to the area, bringing with it gusty winds, and heavy rain. This will be our weather pattern for Monday as the storm slowly moves toward the Destin area. Strong storms producing a lot of rain is the biggest threat. Some of these could become stronger, possibly producing spin-ups, and warranting severe warnings. The First Alert Weather team will continue to watch and provide updates through the night.
Tonight, we've got cloudy skies with breezy winds, east about 15 mph with stronger gusts. Rain and thunderstorms remain possible through the night as lows fall to the lower 70s.
Monday will be very similar to Sunday's weather...Cloudy with highs in the low 80s, and an 80 percent rain and thunderstorm chance. While our eastern counties may see isolated rain activity, our western counties will be seeing more scattered to widespread rain and gusty winds. Winds are expected to come from the east at about 15 to 20 mph with stronger gusts at times.
