TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - We're heading into a wet day region-wide as a low pressure system advances in the open Gulf waters. Most of the heaviest of the rainfall and storminess will remain well to our south, but expect still healthy amounts of rain persisting throughout the day, especially for our Florida counties. Grab the umbrellas and jackets heading out the door as it's going to be pretty cool too. Temps will be in the 40s and 50s all day long. Overnight, we'll still see rain for our eastern counties as the system passes and drier air will filter in for our western counties. Lows will remain in the 40s and low 50s starting off Thursday. Mostly sunny skies will return by the afternoon and that sunshine will help boost temps into the low 60s for highs though there will be a bite in the air as a breeze advances out of the north. A strong high pressure ridge builds in which will be with us through the weekend. This will allow for chilly overnight temps and pleasant afternoons. We'll be near freezing Friday & Saturday nights with afternoon highs in the 60s. By Sunday, we start to see some Gulf winds which will boos afternoon temps in to the low 70s. Our next weather maker moves in early in the work week which will bump temps down a bit into the mid to upper 60s and low 60s by Tuesday as more cold air filters in on the back side of the rainy system.
