Storm Team Wednesday morning forecast (12/24/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- This is the last day of stormy conditions across the Big Bend & South Georgia before we see sunshine again! The storm system plaguing the region over the past several days will continue to push to the northeast and after a cold front pushes through this evening, clear skies will return with cooler conditions. The front is pulling moisture from the Gulf in an already unstable environment, so we will continue to see the chance for thunderstorms persisting through the early afternoon with a marginal threat for severe weather. A Flash flood watch remains in effect until this evening with the possibility that a couple of more inches can still fall. A tornado watch lasts until 7am this morning. Highs will be in the lower 70s throughout the day and as the skies clear, the temps will cool nicely to near average values (lower 40s). For Christmas Day, we will see highs in the lower 60s with ample amounts of sunshine. The calmer weather lasts through Friday. Our next frontal system will push through over the weekend.
