MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A cold front east of the area will provide for thunderstorm coverage throughout the peninsula, but for the Big Bend and South Georgia, most of the unstable weather will avoid the region. Moisture on the backside of the front may move in to the area, so rain coverage will still be possible, but low, only around 20%. Daytime highs are expected to reach the lower 90s throughout the Big Bend and South Georgia, with coastal highs in the upper 80s.
For Thursday into Friday, more cloud cover is possible, as well as rainfall as low pressure over the Carolinas may help to sling more moisture toward the Big Bend. Rain coverage will jump to 30-40% with daytime highs around 90 degrees. The weekend features slightly warmer afternoons with isolated showers and storms possible each day.
