MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- More warming is expected to occur today through the remainder of the week. It is already starting with morning temperatures warmer than the last several days.

The change continues for the afternoon as well, with a warmer wind from the south/southeast. This will help raise afternoon highs to the lower to mid 70s today.

After midweek, more of the same is expected top stick around with surface high pressure east of us, forcing more warm southeast winds to stick around.

In addition, upper level high pressure will limit any rain that tries to develop with the added warmth and moisture. This high pressure area will also block any approaching front from the west. It is not expected to weaken until early next week. This will likely be accompanied with a frontal system that will bring more rain to us, but it is about a week away from now.

Expect afternoon highs from Thursday through Sunday to be in the mid to upper 70s, with morning lows in the mid 50s.

For the weekend and beyond, enough of a moisture climb will allow us to see minimal rain coverage (<20% Saturday through Monday).
