MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The new warm-up is not expected to back off for the next several days, so if you're wanting the cool air to return, you'll have to be extra patient for the next significant front. Until then, morning lows through Friday will hover near 60 with daytime highs approaching the mid to upper 80s each afternoon. High pressure will continue to maintain a firm grip on the region, and the Thursday col front is not expected to bring us rain or a big cool down. Moving into the weekend, afternoon tailgates may need more water and fans as the heat is expected to climb to the upper 80s with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Why 50s for the morning and 80s for the afternoon? The dryness of the air mass overhead will allow for quick cooling, and the warming during the day is just as quick.
