MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Another cold front will cross our region this afternoon, bringing cooler and breezy conditions with it. Rainfall is not expected with this front, but near-seasonal temperatures should occur soon after it's passage.
Highs this Wednesday afternoon are expected to climb to the mid and upper 60s, with cloudier spots seeing cooler temperatures. Lows are expected to drop to the lower to mid 40s after the cold front moves on.
Thursday and Friday afternoons should be cooler, with highs in the lower to mid 60s, and lows in the lower to mid 40s. Friday evening, a new storm system is expected to cross the Big Bend from the Gulf of Mexico. The path of this developing low pressure system is crucial as a southern path would reduce the storm threat, leaving our region with cool rain. It is expected to follow such a path, meaning that Friday night into Saturday will be cool and wet.
After this system passes, even colder air is expected to infiltrate. The air mass is the coldest we will see thus far, with highs near 50 degrees and lows near 30 degrees.
