MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A fairly moist set-up this Wednesday will slowly shift to a drier and hotter set-up to end the work week as high pressure temporarily takes control. After that, another front is expected to drive through the southeast, increasing rain chances for the weekend and the beginning of the next work week.

Wednesday: Deep layer moisture will continue to stick over western parts of the viewing area, increasing rain coverage for areas from Tallahassee west. If east of this region, drier air with high pressure will limit the rain coverage. Overall, scattered numerous showers and storms (60% coverage) for western counties are anticipated, with isolated storms (30-40%) for eastern counties.

After starting off in the lower to mid 70s, expect highs to climb to the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Beach and Boating forecast information and your Tide Times are available below:

Thursday and Friday: High pressure will build in, limiting rain coverage and increasing exposure to the hot Summer sun of July. This will help to heat us up significantly. After morning lows in the lower to mid 70s, expect highs in the mid to upper 90s. It will feel like 100° + for some areas as humidity will add to the heat index. Rain coverage will be rather isolated (20-30%).

Saturday and Sunday: As high pressure breaks down, a cold front from the northwest is forecast to move in and stall just north of us. This will result in higher rain chances for all of the local area. Morning lows are anticipated to be around the mid 70s with forecast highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage will be around 40-60% for the weekend.

Next Monday and Tuesday: More of the same is expected, with lows in the mid 70s and highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage will be at or above normal levels (40-60%).
