TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A heat advisory is in effect region-wide til 7 pm. Actual air temps will near 100° with feels-like temps ranging anywhere from 108°-112°. Stay safe today and stay hydrated. The heatwave continues the next several days with upper 90s expected through Thursday and mid 90s for the weekend. Temps climb back up to the mid and upper 90s early next week courtesy of a broad ridge of high pressure in the low levels and upper levels of the atmosphere keeping the heat around for at least another week. Some lucky folks especially in our western counties, could see a few isolated thunderstorms, though they could be strong with heavy downpours and high winds the main concern. Scattered storm potential stays with us tomorrow before turning isolated for the rest of the forecast period.
