MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- More moisture is working its way into the local area today and tomorrow (Thanksgiving), which means more cloud cover is also expected, including a slight chance of rain on the holiday.

A cold front is moving in from the Great Plains, driving a southerly wind into our area, helping to warm up our nights and our afternoons. Expect the afternoon to be warmer than yesterday, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Lows into Thanksgiving morning, are forecast to be in the lower 50s. For the afternoon on Thanksgiving, warm air continues to filter in and highs may approach 80°. Included with this warmth is the slight chance for a shower (<20% coverage).

Black Friday will start off mild as the front weakens and stalls near the region, with lows in the 50s and highs near 80°.

For the weekend, cooler and drier air is forecast to drive into the area, promoting lows in the 40s and highs in the lower 70s.

A significant threat of rainfall is appearing more likely heading into next week.
