A taste of winter is back for the region today. A steady north breeze
will keep us cooler and clear skies prevail, giving us highs only in the
mid 60s. A shot of reinforcing cold air slides in tonight, bringing
lows into the mid 30s. Some may be waking to frosty windshields and lawns early Thursday. Thursday afternoon looks similar to today, just a little cooler with highs in the low to mid 60s. The mercury will fall close to or below 32° again Friday morning. Freezing temperatures aren't uncommon this time of year, our average last freeze is March 19, however, this season has been anything but "normal". Friday and the weekend we finally kick the cold with a steady stream of 70s and sunshine through Sunday. A slow moving front will slide into the area late Monday and Tuesday; it's too early to talk about storm details with it but it's our closest chance at rain.
