MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Being under the influence of a very warm air mass, temperatures for Wednesday will respond in a warmer way. Our region will see the approach of a decaying front, which will inhibit the warming process for Thursday and beyond.

Wednesday: High pressure to our south will force winds from the west/northwest today. The warm land breeze will help temperatures soar today, with highs forecast to reach the upper 80s in many areas. Temps will be a bit cooler near the coast.

The influence of a nearby front, along with limited moisture, may help to produce widely isolated showers/storm(s). Rain coverage is around 20% for the later afternoon and evening.

The Beach and Boating forecast looks pleasant, with warmth gathering along the coast.

Here is a look at your Tide Times for Wednesday:

Thursday: The winds behind the front will turn from the north, and soon after, the east. This wind is not as hot as Wednesday's west wind forecast. In addition, cloud cover is forecast to increase. This will limit daytime highs to the lower 70s inland, and similar conditions along the Gulf Coast.

Friday: We will be quiet, with high pressure somewhat in control. Expect lows to be in the mid 50s, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Saturday and Sunday: An approaching front from the west will move closer to our area. The majority of the energy associated with the front will avoid us, so rain coverage will not drastically increase, though we should expect isolated showers and storms.

For Saturday, lows will likely be in the upper 50s with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Rain coverage will be around 20%.

Sunday lows will likely be above 60°, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The front will be over our area, allowing the rain coverage to be higher, at around 30%.

Monday and Tuesday: The local area will be under a unsettled air mass with the likely influence of another frontal disturbance. Rain coverage will be around 20%, with lows in the upper 50s and highs above 80°.
