Storm Team Wednesday Morning Forecast (2/12/14)

Showers and a few storms will move through the region today. Expect up to 1” of rain in a few places, especially with some passing storms. The heaviest rain is expected this afternoon with storms staying around some coastal areas and offshore. The low will track up to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast changing from a wintry icy mix to snow as it travels north. The rain will continue through the evening and eventually tapper off in the early morning hours, clouds will follow by Thursday afternoon. Temps on Thursday will only reach 58 and it will be a bit breezy. We will be back in the upper 60’s by Friday with mostly sunny skies. High pressure will build in over the weekend and provide us with some drier air and warmer temps. Highs by Sunday will reach 73. Monday will be slightly warmer with a high of 74. A 20% chance of rain will return on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and a high of 70.
