TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A very similar set up to the past couple days with near record heat. Temps this morning are in the mid 60s with some patchy fog expected to spill out onto the roads. Upper 80s this afternoon with a stray shower possible. A cold front pushes into the southeast and stalls over the region allowing for scattered rain and a few isolated storms to come back to the picture by St. Paddy's afternoon and beyond. Temps back off because of the increased cloud cover with highs only in the low 80s St. Patrick's Day and backing off to the mid 70s for Friday, low 70s for Saturday, and upper 60s by Sunday, the first day of spring. Through Saturday, especially during daylight hours, expect scattered, passing showers and a few embedded storms. By Sunday, we'll quiet down albeit temps will be cooler and conditions will be a bit breezier on the back side of the cold front. High pressure quickly builds in allowing clouds to clear out and temps to dip to the upper 30s by the start of next work week. It'll be a brief cool down, with highs near 70° for Monday afternoon and mid 70s coming back to the picture by Tuesday.
