TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A frigid start to the midweek with temps in the mid to upper 20s. Freeze warnings are in effect til 9 am. Cold shelters are open this morning and overnight as we expect another chilly set up. Temps this afternoon will only top off in the low 50s as a gentle wind blows out of the northwest around 5-15 mph. Small craft advisories are issued for the Bay. We'll dip to the upper 20s again tonight before warming to the mid 60s by the afternoon. A stray shower is possible Friday as temps warm up with a return flow from the Gulf of Mexico. Highs for the end of the work week will get to the mid 70s. A quiet cold front moves through late Friday which will allow for a cool holiday weekend. Temps will be in the upper 50s and low 60s. Rain threat goes back up late on Monday as another storm system rolls in.
