Storm Team Wednesday Morning Forecast (1/1/14)

Posted

The rain held off for NYE but that’s not the case for New Year’s Day! Grab the umbrella if you’re heading outdoors. Rain showers will be light and scattered this morning and afternoon, but pick up as we head into the evening. Cloud coverage will also limit temps from rising much today, highs are only expected to reach 59. Heavier and more moderate rainfall will move through Thursday, with a few possible thunderstorms. Highs will bump up to 66 with a warm front passing through. Clearing will begin late Thursday night with a secondary cold front passing through and reinforcing the cooler air. High temps will struggle to reach the lower 50’s on Friday, even though we will have plenty of sunshine. Morning lows on Saturday are expected to drop to 30 degrees, if not cooler in some locations. Saturday looks mostly sunny with a high of 60.  Sunday will be partly sunny with a 20% chance of rain and a high of 66. Another front will drop temps again for next Monday, highs will only reach 58 degrees.

Happy New Year’s Day!
