TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Conditions this morning starting off steamy once again, but there still is no real rain threat. High pressure over the open Gulf will allow for relatively dry conditions and hot conditions at that. Expect temps to quickly climb into the upper 90s once again. A few showers or storms are possible especially in the western Big Bend, but South Georgia will likely see no rain today. That's because winds will slowly start to shift out of the west and southwest bringing in a little bit of Gulf moisture to spark a few isolated storms. Expect similar conditions for the end of the work week, however the high pressure system loses its grip as a cold front advances into the Tennessee River Valley, which should allow for just enough instability in the atmosphere to give us some slightly higher rain chances. Until then, hot conditions prevail with temps in the upper 90s. By the weekend, expect a few more storms to boil up with temps only getting into the mid 90s. That trend holds into next work week as well.
