MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- We'll see those conditions continue to warm as high pressure at the surface and aloft intensifies over the region. The high will limit rain coverage to more seasonal ranghes (30-40% through the week). Highs are forecast to be in the mid 90s with heat index values at or near the triple digits with the ample amount of moisture at the surface. Overnight lows into Thursday morning will likely drop to the lower 70s as winds calm down, allowing for more ample cooling. As the high pressure cell over the Gulf pushes west and strengthens, we'll see more winds turning from the northwest and that means more opportunity for temps to climb into the upper 90s (from Friday to Sunday). Though rain will be limited to low coverage during this stretch (30%), the few storms that may form can be on the strong side with gusty winds and heavy downpours being the main threats.
