TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Another cool morning translating into a warm afternoon. A weak high pressure system still is holding on allowing for clear skies in the morning to allow all the heat to escape into the atmosphere. More sunshine will allow those temps to get near 80°. Soak in the warmth, because the 80s are gone for the near future. A front advances upon the region on Thursday bringing in more clouds and perhaps one or two isolated light showers. We start off mild in the mid 50s but only get to near 70° Thursday afternoon. By Friday, temps plummet to the low 40s in the morning and in the afternoon we barely scrape the 60° mark. Expect another cool weekend ahead with temps starting off Saturday morning in the low to mid 30s with some frost and possibly light freezes especially in rural spots. Highs stay in the low 60s. Late Sunday, another front moves along the Gulf coast actually bringing us our first shot a good amount of rainfall in some time. That will reinforce the cold air and keep temps well below average heading into next work week.
