TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - One last cold start before temps warm consistently to round out the work week. Temps are in the mid to upper 20s this morning with freeze warnings in effect til 9 am. Low 60s come back to the picture this afternoon with mostly sunny skies. The persistent high pressure system which has been with us since this past weekend pushes eastward and loses its grip over the region which will allow winds to turn from the Gulf of Mexico, ushering in more warmth and moisture. Temps only dip to 40° overnight. A couple isolated showers are possible for our north and western areas tomorrow afternoon and evening. Highs will be comfortable around 70°. Widespread rain and a few isolated storms are on tap for early Friday as a cold front rushes into the region. Some of those storms could be on the stronger side. We'll clear out and cool down Friday evening. Expect conditions to turn blustery as we dip to the 30s overnight. Saturday will be windy and cool with highs in the low 50s. We'll reach freezing by church time Sunday before temps warm up again. 60° for a high in the afternoon, upper 60s for Monday and Tuesday with a few stray showers Tuesday afternoon.
