Storm Team Wednesday Late Morning Forecast Discussion 12/26/2012

Posted

As of 8am, intense storms have moved out of the area dropping localized heavy downpours. Take it easy on the roadways because they are slick and there could be some flooding especially in between Nashville, GA & Moultrie, GA.  Besides that, today will be blustery with wind gusts up to 30mph. That will bring in very cold air cooling us down to the low 50s by dinnertime.  We will be near the freezing mark Thursday morning, so make sure you bring the jacket if you have relatives leaving for the holidays.  We don't even make it to 60 degrees Thursday afternoon, even though the sun will be out.  Friday morning has temperatures in the mid 30s.  There is a slight chance of rain later in the day to start your weekend. The more significant chance of rain is throughout your Saturday.  Thunderstorms could pop up as well.  Conditions will be milder getting to near 70 degrees on Saturday.  Sunday, we cool down to the mid 50s again.  Monday will have temperatures in the low 60s and Tuesday--the NEW YEAR, can you believe it??--we will have mild conditions back in the forecast in the mid 60s. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
