MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
High pressure systems over the region maintain their grip and keep the sunshine abundant into the early evening. Only occasional high thin clouds have snuck into the area. However, the mild to warm weather pattern will begin a gradual transition to a slightly more unsettled phase by the end of the week. The surface-based high will slide farther east into the Atlantic, placing the area into more of a southerly wind flow which will add moisture and give a slight increase in humidity values. The departing high will allow a front to approach by later Friday and linger through the weekend, increasing cloud cover and rain chances. Until then, we’ll still have sunshine in the afternoon and fog in the morning. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s, with highs again in the warm range of the middle 80s away from the coast.
