MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A stalled, dying front near the coastline is still playing a role in producing afternoon rain and thunderstorms, mainly in the Panhandle region and just inland from the Big Bend coast, with pockets of heavy downpours and excess lightning.  A few more spots are likely to develop before sunset, which will then weaken and dissipate by the midnight hour.  Lows will fall into the low to mid 70s with leftover clouds and fewer clear breaks.  An upper low gets closer to the area Thursday and will be responsible for stirring up more cloud coverage along with areas of scattered to numerous showers and thunder, especially in the western counties of the region.  Highs may be limited to the mid 80s, with upper 80s possible in the Suwannee Valley.  The upper disturbance is forecast to move northeast, possibly decreasing afternoon rain coverage and development for the weekend.  The pattern will resemble typical seabreeze-triggered late-day and evening showers and thunderstorms, a few possibly strong.
