MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Winds mainly coming in from the east and southeast today has been forcing scattered showers and thunderstorms near the coastline toward the west. A few more spots of downpours and thunder are possible, especially south of the state line, through the evening. Activity should continue to slide westward and then diminish late tonight. Leftover clouds should disperse somewhat, leaving a few more areas of clearer sky but plenty of moisture as well. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. Thursday, isolated to widely scattered showers and storms are expected in the afternoon, with coverage not likely to exceed 30% of the region. The heat and seabreeze combination will be the main forces behind any storm action. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s. An upper high-pressure system will keep a cap on widespread rain and thunderstorms development this weekend, but it will also induce a hotter trend on most of the region, and may force any storms that form to become briefly strong.
