MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The showers and storms got an earlier start, and they are more numerous than earlier in the week, but still scattered and somewhat localized.  Periods of lightning and heavy rain are forecast in a spotty fashion through the rest of the afternoon and until later tonight.  Individual storms aren't particularly organized, and severe weather chances are minimal, but some brief gusty winds are still possible.  Gobs of moisture around the area will limit cooling, with lows mainly in the mid 70s.  A steady stream of the Gulf moist connection will feed into easy rain development with just a few hours of heating Thursday.  Breaks of sunshine will be interrupted by cloudiness and associated shower and storm activity throughout the daylight hours.  Hence, highs wwon't be as hot, peaking mainly in the upper 80s and lower 90s.  Periodic rain activity will continue through Friday, with decreasing coverage Saturday through the Independence Day holiday.  Temperatures will rebound above average by that time.
