MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered quick-moving showers are possible, especially around and west of U.S. 319, through the rest of the afternoon and evening, before a broader, but weakening, line of locally heavy rain and thunderstorms approaches later in the evening. In a few isolated instances, the individual spots of rain and thunder can contain gustier winds and possible brief tornado development, especially near the tri-state junction. With the broader storm line later, forceful straight-line winds are possible. As the system moves east into Thursday morning, severe weather elements will be less likely, reduced to just periods of showers and thunder for southeast Georgia and the Suwannee Valley. Lows will depend on where the cold front is positioned; 50s for southwest Georgia and 60s in the southeast Big Bend. Highs will reach around 70° with a clearing trend for most areas except in the Suwannee Valley, where clouds may linger longer and maintain a slight rain chance through midday. Friday will be sunny and cool for all before some cloudiness creeps back over the weekend.
