MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The seabreeze flow is active, but late-day showers and storms are few and far between. Brief downpours and occasional lightning are possible in spots between Interstate 10 and the coast through this evening, with a separate zone of activity deep in interior south Georgia that may keep slight rain chances present into the late-night for areas around U.S. 82. Severe weather chances remain slim for the rest of the day. Breaks in the clouds are likely overnight with lows in the upper 60s to near 70°. Upper-level high pressure will start to influence regional weather for the rest of the week, further limiting the daily thunderstorm cycle and keep rain coverage to 20% or less. Highs will still soar into the low to mid 90s. This weekend, the high starts to retreat, allowing a cold front to approach and increase the potential for additional rainy times. Tropical moisture may increase the overall rain chances.
