Storm Team Wednesday evening forecast (02/25/2015)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Areas of rain will increase over the region this evening, with a narrow window of opportunity between sunset and midnight for a band of heavier rain and more-active thunderstorms to impact the area.  Rain has been generally light, but will pick up in intensity ahead of an advancing low-pressure disturbance over the northern Gulf, and a second upper disturbance over the Deep South.  Winds will become breezy before the thunderstorms arrive, and these gustier conditions may fuel additional strength in some storms.  Some isolated damaging wind gusts and a tornado are possible, but the overall risk is limited and confined mainly to areas along and south of the state line.  All storms will exit the region early Thursday morning with lows falling to the upper to mid 40s.  CLouds will linger into the daytime hours with breaks of sun and cool highs in the 50s to near 60°.  A little more sun is possible Friday, then periods of clouds with an accelerated warming trend early next week along with widely scattered showers possible.
