MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Early-morning rain, amounting to over one inch in some areas, has helped to tame the atmosphere this afternoon and evening and keeping current rain coverage and intensity at somewhat of a minimum. Despite this, a broad upper feature will keep the regional pattern disturbed and well primed for overnight showers and storms to re-develop, especially along coastal sections and the tri-state junction early in the morning. Showers and thunder will go back to a scattered variety later in the afternoon Thursday with breaks of sun which can warm highs into the mid and upper 80s. Morning lows will be around 70°. Rain coverage begins to decrease Friday in response to a building high-pressure system over the weekend that will likely suppress the daily thunderstorm cycle by Saturday through the first half of next week.
