MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered showers and isolated thunder remain in the area this evening, but the limited severe weather risk has diminished even further and most of the area appears to be cleared of any significant potential for active storms tonight. Vast amounts of moisture will remain, keeping overcast conditions and even some fog in place overnight. Lows will struggle to fall below 70°, remaining above average highs for late December. Christmas Eve will feature breaks in the clouds, and less shower activity, especially by afternoon. It'll be unusually warm with highs between 75° and 82°. Christmas Day Friday may be even warmer for some, with a partly cloudy sky and only an isolated shower. Upper-level high pressure will still have a warming influence on the region through the rest of the weekend. A cold front next Monday through Tuesday may reduce temperatures a bit while bringing a return of higher rain chances.
