MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered clouds formed in the warming of the afternoon sun, but an overall stable atmosphere is preventing any significant showers or storms from forming. Most locations will remain dry this evening with a clearing trend underway by sunset. A lack of wind, plus a relatively dry air mass, will allow temperatures to fall rather decently overnight, with lows reaching the upper 60s to lower 70s. The high-pressure system over the mid-Atlantic will support one more dry, partly cloudy afternoon Thursday, with only an ever-so-isolated shower late in the day. Highs will climb into the low to mid 90s. By the afternoon, winds will become southeasterly, beginning the moistening trend that will lead to the return of scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms during the Labor Day weekend. There will be no tropical impacts locally through the extended forecast period.
