MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The two disturbances created a vast contrast in sky appearance and temperature patterns today ... with excessive clouds in the tri-state and readings in the 50s and 60s versus sunshine and temps near 80° in the southeast Big Bend. The clouds and cooler readings will win over the entire region through tonight and tomorrow once the cold front there gets a nudge from the northern jet stream. Overnight, cloud cover will thicken once again, and areas of showers are likely to develop. These rainy areas will slowly move east through the afternoon hours, with some limited clearing by late in the day. The warmest temperatures may be reached early in the morning in some areas, with 60s and low 70s gradually turning into 50s and lower 60s as the colder air mass trickles in. It will be solidly colder area-wide Friday with returning sunshine and average temps. A few days of warmer conditions are forecast for Saturday afternoon through the middle of next week.
